AN EXQUISITE NAPLES DISPLAY CABINET
Of architectural outshape, overall veneered in tortoiseshell with gilded background and inlaid with flowers and masks of engraved mother-of-pearl and brass. The glazed violin-shaped front and sides enclose a complete painted interior of an Italian landscape with ruins, fishermen, trees and a clouded heaven. The corners are mounted on top and sides with gilded bronze figures of soldiers and flamed vases. The whole on inlaid bracket feet.
