A FLEMISH CABINET
A Flemish 17th century ebony, tortoiseshell and ebonised cabinet ; decorated with painted copper panels of the life of Christ, on a modern ebonised base. The hinged compartment top inset with a rectangular panel with a Biblical scene, above a pair of panelled doors each with a similarly painted scene, enclosing an architectural interior with ten similarly decorated drawers arranged around a central colonnaded door, the interior fitted as a “Theatre” with mirror panels and a parquet floor.
